Through this fun game we invite students to reflect on two issues that are not always easy to address, such as the gender and sexuality of each person, or the various manifestations of power that define our social relations. To do this, in the Teachers section you will find support materials with which you can work in more depth on these issues in the classroom.

Specifically, the “Gender Cookie” game aims to raise awareness and promote individual reflection among students on aspects related to the gender and sexuality of each person.

However, as this is a personal and not always easy process, teachers need to assess whether everyone in the group is ready to share their reflections and questions with the rest of the group.

On the other hand, it may be possible that some children playing the game may question themselves and become aware of parts/feelings they were unaware of or have been neglecting until now, potentially entering a process of personal conflict and in need of your support.

The Gender Cookie

Do you like gingerbread biscuits? In this game we invite you to discover the gender biscuit and discover concepts such as gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and biological sex.

To do so, you will have to guess which part of this fun biscuit doll corresponds to each of these concepts represented on the labels, by clicking on the part of the image that corresponds to each description. Remember that each person is different and each of these “labels” is independent and can change throughout life. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

You have three tries, and if you get it right the first time, you will get 100 points! And if you don’t, don’t worry, we’ll give you a hint: but remember that time counts too. Have fun!

Power is at stake

Have you ever heard the word “EMPOWERMENT”? It refers to the process by which a person acquires capacity or power on an individual level or in their environment to make decisions and take action.

But still every day many women and girls, despite the obstacles, strive to empower themselves and claim their rights, fighting for their voices and opinions to be heard within their families, communities and countries.

And boys and men are also key allies in this process!

Are you ready to find out what kinds of power there are? In this game we propose four definitions of power and you have to guess what kind of power each of them corresponds to by clicking on the part of the image that corresponds to each description. As in the previous “Gender Cookie” game, you have three tries, and if you get it right the first time, you’ll get 100 points! And if you don’t, don’t worry, we’ll give you a hint, but remember that time counts too… Let’s play!
